Outline Partnering Proposals

1 Budget: To provide a prompt and fair evaluation and allocation of all costs relevant to each scheme. Cost savings and incentives to be shared.
2 Quality: To meet, achieve and strive to exceed specified quality standards.
3 Safety: Ensure a safe working environment both for thee workforce on site and the general public and all associated personnel.
4 Complaints: To ensure an effective and rapid response to all complaints received and to effect the relevant resolution to all grievances and claims, within an agreed timescale.
5 Teamwork: Strive to achieve a working atmosphere, relevant to a high morale and productivity standard, while maintaining a sense of job satisfaction.
6 Fairness: To recognise the rights of all parties to a fair and equitable agreement.
7 Public: To meet all the required obligations to the general public and to be sensitive to their concerns and surroundings.
8 Benchmark: Strive to achieve a benchmark, both in quality and cost, which can be used as a model for future projects.

 

NOTE: The partnering agreement which the parties have entered into, in connection with the works, is not intended to create a legally enforceable rights or obligation, between the parties of to affect the terms of any conditions of contract.

 

Considerate Contractor Proposals

Consideration: All work is to be carried out with positive Consideration to the needs of site personnel, visitors, pedestrians, shoppers and the general public.
Environment: Attempt to keep noise to a minimum at all times. Local resources, to be used, wherever possible. Pay attention to waste management and avoid pollution, as much as possible. Encourage the use of recycling.
Cleanliness: Keep sites clean and in good order at all times. Safety barriers, lights and warning signs are to maintained and kept in a clean and safe condition. Rubbish should be removed from site and not allowed to accumulate or cause obstruction.
Respectful: Respectable and safe standards of dress, appropriate to site conditions are to be maintained at all times. Lewd or derogatory behaviour and language will not be tolerated. Operatives will be given instruction on how to deal with the general public.
Good Neighbours: Keep the residents, shopkeepers and businesses informed of the site activities, from start, through to completion of the works. General information on the works will be made available.
Safe: Construction operations and vehicle movements will be carried out with great care and consideration for the safety of the general public as well as the site personnel. No construction work shall be a security risk to others.
Responsible: All site personnel, sub contractors, drivers and others will be made aware of the code, through written instructions and will be monitored accordingly.
