New County are the preferred contractor for Northern Gas Networks for the central and northern patches of NE England respectively and for Clancy Docwra working on behalf of CE Electric in the Northern Region . In house, multi functional teams undertake excavation and installation of cables and ducts along with the construction of footway and carriageway chambers and manholes. New County are unique in being the only contractor in the area to offer the full service from excavation with approved traffic management, through utility installation, completing the process with backfilling and reinstatement all with fully trained and accredited personnel. 

As part of our service to the telecoms sector we currently carry out major diversionary works for the A1 improvements in the North of England. Our teams are utilised for urgent new development installations and general network repair and reinforcement. Our clients recognise that our diverse business units assist the overall process and provide a “one stop shop” for the operation required. Our proven track record in dependability for rapid response to third party defect rectifications has lead to repeated business.

Reinstatement

Utility companies owning Gas, Water, Electric and Telecoms are constantly installing, upgrading and renewing their assets, 90% of these are underground. New County offer a specialised service to remove spoil,  backfill excavations then reinstate the surface levels of any kind of material, regardless of the size of the excavation or surface area. All of our reinstatement teams and managers are fully NRSWA accredited and trained in site operations.
